Carol, WeiHao and Jeremie brought over their stock of food to eat in Basser College’s kitchen. =p. After brekky we head on the road to Unanderra, Wollongong to visit the Nan Tien Temple.
Smooth drive until Wollongong when once again (WeiHao was the driver), we could see the place but couldn’t get there. >.< And the GPS navigation system once again gave us crappy directions. *sigh* At last we managed to find our way through.
Nice temple. It’s the largest temple in the Southern hemisphere. Had lunch there. Paid AUD 9 for a ‘all-you-can-eat-except-one-dish’ lunch. Not the best lunch but at least it filled our tummy. Head on to Canberra next. WeiHao was still the driver.
Viewing Australia through road trip is definitely different. Lush green grasslands, lots of cows, a few nice, big farm houses scattered across the meadow. A totally different experience. After around an hour of drive, WeiHao asked for a swap and Jeremie became the driver, all the way to Canberra.
Once in Canberra, we went straight to the Parliament House. My first impression of Canberra? EMPTY. It took us soooo long to find a toilet in Canberra. *sigh* Had dinner in a kebab restaurant. Again, food not good but it filled out stomach. Itinerary stated that we would only drive down to Melbourne from Canberra around 12am.
What to do for the next few hours? =D We watched a movie. ‘Get Smart’ which ended around 1130pm. Then, Shyan was the driver down from Canberra to Melbounre. Straight 7 hours drive and we only stopped in two service centres along the road. He finished 2.25 cans of Pringles, 2 bottles of Red Bull to get all of us to Melbourne.
